eBay India (www.ebay.in), India’s leading eCommerce marketplace, is powering a charity auction with Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor for Save the Children, an NGO working for children’s rights across 15 states in India. The Charity Auction offers fans the chance to spend a day on the sets with Ranbir Kapoor. The proceeds of this Charity Auction will be used to support the ongoing relief work being carried out by Save the Children in Uttarakhand. The auction begins on July 29, 2013 and will be live until August 8, 2013.
The highest bidder will get a chance to meet Ranbir Kapoor on the sets. This experience will take place in the month of September 2013. Mr. Ranbir Kapoor, Actor says, “I feel honoured to be able to contribute towards supporting the lives of those that have been affected by the floods through the charity auction on eBay India by Save the Children. I encourage people to participate in this noble cause and help those in need. I will definitely make the day special for the winning bidder.”

Save the Children will use the proceeds from the auction to reduce the impact of the disaster on 5000 severely vulnerable households (25,000 people, including 10,500 children) in 5 districts in Uttarakhand: Rudraprayag, Uttarkashi, Tehri Garhwal, Dehradun and Chamoli.
