Shakuni from Mahabharat
Praneet Bhatt says Shakuni from Mahabharat is neither positive nor negative
They say there's no other love like the love of a brother and history has some tremendous brother-sisters’ pair. Star Plus is all set to launch the mythological saga Mahabharat on September 16, 2013 at 8.30 pm which will showcase the story of one such brother Shakuni played by Praneet Bhatt, who has lived and died for his sister, Gandhari.
Praneet Bhatt who hails from Srinagar has won accolades for his acting and strong dialogue delivery. He will now be seen playing one of the most challenging character from the epic, Shakuni. The actor who has been preparing for the show since past two years opens up to us on playing one of the most iconic characters from Mahabharat.
Praneet says, “This is a role of a lifetime for me. I’m really fortunate to play Shakuni as he is the one character among Krishna, Bhishma and himself who fought for other’s cause and not for themselves in Mahabharat. He is a true hero who had immense and unconditional love for his sister which led to the story of Mahabharat. He went against his father, mother and the entire world just for his sister and in my view he’s neither totally negative nor positive.”
Praneet has been preparing for this role with full dedication so much so that he didn’t pick up any other project just to give his 100% to the epic. The actor has undergone several workshops to master the various aspects needed and leaving no stone unturned to writing yet another history with playing Shakuni in Mahabharat.
Tune-in to watch Mahabharat from September 16th 2013 at 8:30 pm only on Star Plus.
