ESHA KANSARA (Known as Kritika from MERI BHABHI)

Being a Gujarati Janmashtami is a grand festival for me and also I am born on this day so I always celebrate this festival with my family. But this time due to my hectic work schedule I won't be able to go to my hometown. We generally have a get together and go to this place called Ishwariya near Rajkot as one of our prestigious Mandir is located over there, it's kind of a hill station so we drive till there and have our picnic for the day which is great fun as the whole family bonds together.

SNEHA WAGH (Known as Ratan from Veera: Ek Veer Ki Ardaas)

We don’t exactly celebrate Janmashatami but I have fond childhood memories of my father taking us to watch the dahi handi and the processions. Those were great moments and I remember enjoying them.

KANCHI KAUL (Known as Shraddha from MERI BHABHI)

While I was in college breaking of dahi handi was awesome, going out on the streets, breaking the handi with my friends and even falling down from the pyramid was the fun part as none of us were professionals. The handi had everything from milk to sweets to money. It is one of my favorite festivals and even this year if I get some free time from my shooting schedule I will make it a point to go and watch the dahi handi festival with my friends.

SHRENU PARIKH (known as Aastha from Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon Ek Baar Phir)

In my city (Vadodara) on Janmashtami we all fast. On this auspicious day the best part is people play teen patti. Earlier I didn’t get to play and now I don’t get time to Play! Also at night when Lord Krishna’s birthday celebration happens we usually do a shringaar to Kanhaji’s idol and make him swing in the Jhoola. This Janmashtami I will be shooting and therefore may not be able to participate in the rituals that will be performed at home.
