From me to you...

"Don't ask yourself what the world needs. Ask yourself what makes you come alive and then go do that. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive." – Howard Thurman

Today, we start a new journey. I am not alone because each and every one of you reading this is now a part of this Tinsel journey. The first issue of my dream project…I am excited, nervous and the butterflies in my stomach just won’t go away. It almost feels as if I am in love…but wait…I am in love with my dream, with this website and I hope and pray that all the hard work, creativity, ignorance, wisdom, stumbling, picking myself up, sleepless nights pay off and you fall in love with Tinsel Gupshup as well.

Every facet of the Indian television industry is fascinating and in every issue we will try to feature personalities in their true essence, flavor and colour. This first issue will always have a special place in my heart not only because it is a baby step towards the realization of my passion – my dream, but because I had the privilege of interviewing some of the most beautiful and amazing individuals in the industry.

Tinsel personality features Gaurav Chopraa and it was an absolute pleasure to interview him. He opens up to us about his journey as an actor. There is more to life than just work and Raj Singh Arora talks to us about the “Finer things in life” – his passion – photography. Lights! Camera! Action! We go behind the scenes with Sidharth Sengupta, captain of the ship….director of one of my favorite shows – Gulaal. Shringaar features the beauty secrets of some of the most beautiful women in the industry, so it’s only fair that we start this journey with a timeless beauty – Chhavi Mittal. What do you collect in your “Pitara”? Gorgeous Shubhangi Atre Poorey is crazy about earrings and we have a fun chat with her as she talks to us about her pitara full of all kinds of earrings!

I hope you enjoy this first issue and keep coming back for more because your love and support will be the fire in my belly to bring you the best features from this industry we love so much. Happy reading my fellow Tinsel Gupshup’ians and I leave you with a quote from Christopher Reeve – “At first dreams seem impossible, then improbable, then inevitable…”

Write to me...let me know what you think and most of all let me know who you would like to see in the upcoming issues. After all...I can't "Gupshup" alone....right?
