You laughed with them; you cried with them; you enjoyed their various mischiefs; you empathized with them whenever they were in pain and loved them like your own!Now 15 years later, Veera and Ranvijay are all grown up but how much has reallychanged in their world? Not only have they been living apart from each other; with Veera studying in Delhi and Ranvijay taking over the family responsibility in Pritampura; but they have also grown to develop diverse interests and talents. Yet, despite living away from each other, the bond between Ranvi and Veera remains unchanged – he is still her Anokhi maa. With a new setting and contemporary storyline, Star Plus’ popular soap, ‘Ek Veer Ki Ardaas Veera’ introduces new faces Shivin Narang as Ranvijay andDigaganna Suryavanshi as Veera from November 25th, Monday to Friday at 10.30 pm.
Produced by Beyond Dreams Productions,‘Ek Veer Ki Ardaas...Veera’ has beenlauded for being narrated through the simple lens of an innocent bond and togetherness between two siblings. Veera played Digaganna Suryavanshi is like every college-going girl today, who is in sync with the latest fashion trends, enjoys watching movies and emulates Bollywood heroines. She has been studying in Delhi University and has just completed her B. Sc. in Agricultural Sciences. Talking about playing Veera, Digaganna Suryavanshi says, “I'm extremely excitedto play Veera, it's one of the most popular shows with the most adored characters. She has a spunk and liveliness that attracted me to take this up. In real life as well, I am a lot like her – free-spirited and chatty.”
On the other hand, Ranvijay played by Shivin is shy and more of an introvert. He has grown up to become an ideal boy - a perfect combination of good-looks and responsibility. He has keen interest in music and will be seen playing the Mandolin and writing poetry. Talking about taking on Ranvijay’s role, Shivin says, “I’mworking hard on the nuances of playing Ranvi – right from the look to smallest details of learning the mandolin. This is most definitely one of the most loved shows and it’s a big responsibility playing such a popular character. I opted for this role because of my parents;they follow the show religiously and wanted me to play Ranvi.”
Talking about the leap, Mr. Danish Khan, Programming Head - Fiction said, “Ek Veer Ki Ardaas Veera is a heartwarming tale with a unique take on the brother sister relationship, never seen before on television. The show has been a slot leader since 4 weeks post its launch. Now with the 15 year leap, Veera prepares for an exciting next phase with the chronicles of the grown up Veera &Ranvi. Veera, young educated, bright and boisterous is a today’s girl with her own aspirations and dreams. Ranvi, who has sacrificed a lot to get Veera educated, has his own dreams about Veera. It’s going to be an exciting journey, of dreams and aspiration, romance and heart breaks, sacrifices and bonds.”
