Gautam Rode - Teri Meri Love Stories
“There is never a time or place for true love. It happens accidentally, in a heartbeat, in a single flashing, throbbing moment.” ― Sarah Dressen
This Saturday, 9 pm, come fall in love. Tinsel Gupshup talks to Gautam Rode and brings you an exclusive feature on the very first love story of “Teri Meri Love Stories”.
TG: Can you tell us about the first love story?
GR: This is a really nice love story between two individuals (Tarun and Sunaina) who don’t really believe in love! Tarun (my character) is an extremely focused, career oriented investment banker based in Washington who comes back to India for his sister’s wedding. He does not approve of the wedding because he thinks his sister is too young and he wants her to focus on her career. Tarun’s sister is getting married to a guy called Karthik who is Sunaina’s (Mala Salariya) best friend and she does not approve of the wedding because she feels they are not a good match for each other. So…Tarun and Sunaina actually team up to break the marriage and sparks fly!!
TG: Saturday, 9 pm is a primetime slot for any channel. What do you think will be “Teri Meri Love Stories” USP that will attract viewers away from popular shows like “Indian Idol” on Sony and “Jhalak Dikhlaja” on Colors?
GR: “Teri Meri Love Stories” is not just a daily show. Each story is a one and a half hours film on television and this is a completely new and bold concept introduced by Star Plus. The stories are young, vibrant and very fresh and every week you will get to see a new love story. I think it will be a really nice break for viewers who watch the same characters and storylines day in and day out. “Teri Meri Love Stories” will be refreshing because you can watch a nice, romantic, feel good, short film with whole family. It will definitely attract and interest viewers because it is a completely different concept!
Tinsel Gupshup is a complete sucker for love stories and if you are too then tune in to watch Gautam Rode (Tarun) and Mala Salariya (Sunaina) on “Teri Meri Love Stories” on the 11th of August, Star Plus at 9 pm!
